SSP America Leaders Recognized by Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) and AMAC Foundation

SSP America, a division of SSP Group, a leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations worldwide, is pleased to announce that two members of its business development team were recognized during the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Business Diversity Conference in Chicago, Illinois for their contributions to AMAC, the AMAC Foundation and the greater aviation industry.

John Clark, Senior Vice President of Development, Airports and Airlines was presented the Charles “C.J.” Johnson Award Catalyst Award for his mentorship and leadership to AMAC and aviation community. The current Chair of AMAC Ricky Smith commended John’s contribution by sharing, “This award recognizes the enormous networking valued offered by AMAC. John Clark is masterful at bringing people together for good, and therefore, the inaugural Charles C.J. Johnson Award could not be given to a more fitting member of AMAC’s family.”

Heather Barry, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, was presented the Legacy Award for her dedication, leadership, and service to the AMAC Foundation after serving 7 years as the Foundation’s Chair. The current AMAC Foundation Chair Dawn Hunter commented, “Heather is a visionary with strength in leadership that has created the programing we have today. She spearheaded efforts such as Project LIFT, the AMAC Foundation Bill Walker Memorial Golf Tournament, silent auction, and the Celebrating Women in Aviation Breakfast. The breakfast has particularly grown each year into one of the most popular events at the annual AMAC Conference. Heather does all of this with her graceful disposition and a smile.”
