"This is what it's all about. It was a real pleasure to speak with these young people about the work they're doing, and to help make the gateway into St. Pete feel a little more like St. Pete. The mural, designed by Dublin Von Cannon of Urban Artist Florida Studio based on input from the Youth Advisory Council of Keep Pinellas Beautiful, is incredibly well done—exhibiting a few of Florida's trademark wildlife species, colors and scenes from the city's surrounding areas. We're proud to have enlisted their talents," Tim explains.
Keep Pinellas Beautiful, Urban Artist Florida Studio, and SSP America partnered with the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport to give pre-security restaurant The District Pub a stronger ‘Taste of Place’. Inspired by the City of St. Petersburg’s art districts, The District Pub now exhibits a ‘Welcome’ mural characteristic of the community’s natural environment—special thanks to a few talented young artists. Regional Vice President of Operations, Tim Clark, called it the highlight of his week.
Keep Pinellas Beautiful is a non-profit organization whose mission is to conserve and beautify Pinellas County’s natural environment. Urban Artist Florida Studio is a woman veteran-owned small business providing services in various artistic mediums. Their collaboration is an addition to the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport’s already robust collection of work by local Florida artists, and SSP America is proud to have had a hand in its exhibition.
