Team Member Spotlight: Kris Romero
In 2014, Kris Romero began her career as an SSP America team member. She was a cashier, then she became a baker, a cook, a server, and did a few other things at MCO in Orlando before becoming the MacGyver-like, swiss-army knife she is today—as the Assistant General Manager at Urban Crave.
Recently, Kris was recognized by her Director of Operations, Lidexy Rodriguez, for her creative problem-solving abilities.
“There’s a new 3-drawer turbo chef oven at Urban Crave that wouldn’t work correctly, and Kris came up with a bright idea outside of work to fix it. We spoke with Kris, who described her mindset, “I’ve always been like—can you teach me this? and can you teach me that? I’m always looking to learn something new, and sometimes that means doing things outside of our normal routine. So, I figure out new ways to solve problems and run the restaurant better. Because, personally, I want to move up in this business.”
